vineyards - vin du bois winery Wine of BoiseIdaho Boise Idaho w Idaho Vin du Bois Winery When you tell someone you make wine, almost always the first question they ask is, "where is your vineyard?". Vin du Bois Winery has chosen to concentrate on making wine letting the experienced vineyard owners and managers grow our wine for us. We feel that gives us the opportunity to select the very best wines grown for us in the best vineyards of the northwest. The vineyards located in the southwestern corner of Idaho are able to grow some of the best wine in the northwest because they are south of the 45th parallel, near the Snake River, blessed with languorously long warm summer days and cool refreshing nights, an extended growing season that allows the grapes to not only develop high sugars but the complex flavors of fully ripe fruit. "The Best Wine in the Bottle is Grown in the best Vineyard" It has been our good fortune and great pleasure to walk alongside growers, getting to know them and their vineyard practices. That is why we have chosen to use the grapes we have, from the growers we have chosen, because of the wines they grow for us.
WoodRiver Vineyard: This
vineyard is nestled in the bottom slopes along
Stowe (Indian Creek) Vineyard: A
25 year reputation for growing the finest Pinot Noir in Idaho. They actually
grow their grapes in two different locations, both on McDermott Rd.
A.R.S. Vineyard at University of Idaho in Parma: Small lots of select fruit are grown for research purposes in a wonderful setting on the slopes above the Snake River overlooking Oregon. We find wines being grown that are not available anywhere else. It is from these vines that we hand pick Orange Muscat, Muscat of Alexandria, Tannat, and Sangiovese.
